UI/UX Jobs in the US

Hi Guys,

I'm a Mumbai (India) based Creative Professional with over 13 yrs of experience in designing & crafting engaging User Experiences. I'm also a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA). This is probably the first time I've actually taken interest in UI/UX jobs in the US. It'll be great to know how is the industry picking up and does a profile like mine stand any chance.

Hi Jai,

UX market in US is really picking up and I expect it to be like this for a few years. Every company wants to make sure there products are user friendly and as a result they are hiring people full time now, while earlier they were hiring them more on a contract basis.

Regarding your question about you having a chance I suggest get more experience with US companies so you understand the US market and the development happening in in UX in US market. Best way to come here would either be to join a US company who has an office in India and eventually they can transfer you here or join a consulting company like TCS or Infosys, get a contract here and after a couple of years you can switch to US company if you would like.
